That\u2019s how this design came to life. Built\u2011in hollow holes sit around the rim. No extra strainers required. Everything you need is inside one bowl\u2011and\u2011lid set, for clean, hassle\u2011free tea brewing.<\/p>\n

Craftsmanship | Hand\u2011shaped Clay & Kiln Magic<\/h2>\n

This gaiwan uses genuine Qinzhou Nixing pottery clay. The raw clay gets thoroughly kneaded to remove impurities, giving it a dense, smooth feel.<\/p>\n

The circular filter holes are all hand\u2011carved while the clay is still soft. Every opening must be uniform and neatly lined up. It is tricky work \u2014 even small mistakes can crack the clay piece, so many pieces fail at this step.<\/p>\n

After careful trimming and polishing, it goes into the high\u2011heat kiln. Kiln heat creates that rich antique bronze finish. No two gaiwans look exactly alike<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The final shape fits comfortably in your hand. When you tilt to pour, tea flows freely through the holes while trapping all tea leaves inside.<\/p>\n
