Crafted exclusively from natural raw clay mined on both the east and west banks of the Qinjiang River, soft eastern clay forms the tender texture while firm western clay builds the sturdy framework. Blended in accordance with ancient recipes without any glaze, the pottery relies on inherent mineral elements in the clay. After firing at temperatures over 1,000 degrees Celsius, it presents a magical natural kiln transformation: uniform color inside the kiln, yet countless gorgeous hues after firing.
