Huang Kairi was born in Hengxian, Guangxi in 1988. He graduated from Qinzhou University (now Beibu Gulf University) in 2012, majoring in Modern Ceramic Art and Decorative Sculpture Design. He is among the first cohort of young ceramic artists to launch independent businesses from this major. He holds multiple authoritative credentials including National First-Class Senior Technician, Qinzhou Arts and Crafts Master, and the First Batch of Qinzhou Ceramic Art Master. He has been conferred the title of National Technical Expert in Ceramics on three occasions. He serves as a visiting professor at Yinghua University and founded Jingshan Creation Culture and Art Co., Ltd.

With years of dedicated practice in handcrafted Nixing pottery creation, he specializes in hand-throwing and masters the full workflow of teapot making. He excels at integrating intangible cultural heritage elements of the Zhuang ethnic group such as Guangxi bronze drums and frog patterns into traditional tea ware design, endowing works with the charm of classical shapes while catering to modern aesthetics. He is adept at crafting plain-surface wares and relief sets, focusing on the balance between practicality and artistic appeal of tea utensils. Making full use of the natural kiln transformation characteristics of Nixing pottery, he has won numerous gold awards in practical skill competitions of national ceramic industry contests.
