This teapot embraces simplicity — no carvings, no decorations, letting the form and clay speak for itself. Inspired by the Japanese kyusu and traditional Chinese “Tang Yu” side-handle pot, it features a round body, an upturned side handle like a fish tail, and a playful ball-shaped spout. The artisan intentionally left the surface plain, focusing on the pure pleasure of brewing tea.

Made of authentic Qinzhou Nixing clay. Hand-thrown into a round, full body with a wide opening for easy tea loading and cleaning. The side handle is shaped to fit the palm comfortably and stays cool; the ball spout pours smoothly and cuts off cleanly. No carving — pure form and clean lines. High-temperature firing creates an even, warm reddish-brown kiln-change finish. Grows increasingly glossy and smooth with daily use.

The plain, unadorned surface symbolizes returning to simplicity and “the greatest truths are the simplest.” The side handle, anciently called “Tang Yu” (Tang feather), evokes a bird in flight — freedom and ease.
